While I was teaching high school in Macau, I had the opportunity to accompany fifteen students on an "Experience Week" trip to the Philippines! We flew from Hong Kong to Cebu and drove a few hours until we reached a secluded dive resort, Turtle Bay Dive Resort. It was an excellent resort to bring students, as they were free to rome about the resort, yet there wasn't anywhere else they could get to, due to the seclusion. The staff were so friendly and the scenery was beautiful! And then there was the food! DELICIOUS is an understatement! We had buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we did not have a single bad meal. My favourite part of every meal was the fresh mangos! While on the trip, I was fortunate enough to obtain my PADI "Open Water" scuba diving certificate and saw some amazing things underwater. I will definitely be back to visit this country again and I recommend this trip to anyone considering the Philippines!
